This release also fix another small issue in Pixane color alias parsing. All eTcl 1.0-rc27 early adopters, and especially those targetting Win32 architecture, are highly recommended to upgrade.

eTcl 1.0-rc24 - Tcl/Tk 8.5.0 for everyone
2007-12-24 - 13:11
Soon after Tcl/Tk 8.5 has been released by Tcl core team as the result of several years of hard and great work, we are pround to announce eTcl 1.0-rc24 is now based on 8.5.0 core on all architectures, and heritates its numerous goodies, including significant speedup of new bytecode engine, integrated arbitrary-precision arithmetic, new skinnable widgets, or anti-aliased text support on all platforms. Tcl API for Odyce has been stabilized and allows dynamic compilation of most Tcl/Tk extensions (e.g. incrTcl, Xotcl, ...) on all x86 and ARM architectures in just a few hundreds milliseconds, making it a viable alternative to shared libraries for deployment. Pixane extension exposes more transformations (e.g. arbitrary image rotations) at Tcl level, and its memory footprint has been reduced. You can download binary for your architecture for free, and enjoy!

Binaries are provided for Mac OS X, Win32, Windows Mobile and Linux x86, arm (soft-float and hard-float) , mipsel and powerpc.
Invalid CAB files for eTcl 1.0-rc22
2007-08-11 - 01:27
Due to a synchronization problem, some CAB files part of eTcl 1.0-rc22 early distribution were generated with an invalid VersionMax value, and couldn't be installed on Windows Mobile 6 devices, and some Windows Mobile 5 smartphones. Those archives have been updated to fix this incompatibility. Note that cabinet content itself (especially eTcl executable) is stricly similar. Thanks to Michel Salvagniac and Satoshi Imai for reporting this quickly.
